Sunday 26, April 2009

Is it already Sunday????

Well, same as last week - we have a lot of events coming up, so lets do a little more training for them.

Today, you have a choice (do we really want to call it that)

5k
or
10k

Yeah Alena, thank you for the choice... You are so kind - heehee!!

See you all tomorrow!

Heres a couple of links talking about running:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/article-1170253/The-painful-truth-trainers-Are-expensive-running-shoes-waste-money.html

This article talks about how modern running shoes actually hamper us more than they help us.

A video showing how much a runners style changes when they wear shoes as opposed to being barefoot.

Talks about how modern running shoes may actually be increasing our rates of injury in running. the article also talks about the Tarahumara who run extremely long distances in pretty much a sandal

You dont necessarily have to run barefoot but you should be wearing shoes with the smallest amount of sole possible.

Hey Peps I am going to do a burpie mile at Reno High @ 4:30 if anyone is interested. Kind of last minute, but I have the urge. Come and join in the fun.

Jay- why don't you plan that for next weekend so we can get a group to do the miserable event together, no need to suffer by yourself.

I was gong to do the run today but I have a terrible cough so I am taking a rest day.

Can't believe I am saying this, but I was looking forward to doing the burpee mile with everyone.

If you do it good luck!!!! hope I see you tomorrow.

Thanks for the articles Chandler

That was terrible. I thought it would be hard, but that was just dumb. I am glad that I did it but I will NEVER do it again. I'll tell you about it tomorrow.
Thanks Dave for stopping by and making sure I was still alive.
