OK, so few things:
Paleo Challenge (new one) will start Monday the 5th of October - we will again run it for 90 days, change a few things up this time but still an awesome way to kick start the body and getting the most out of your health, your workouts, and fitness.
Dodgeball this weekend - contact me ASAP to let me know who is in. This will be so much fun!!!! We need at least 6, plus we need a few subs (Evan and I have to leave at about 5 for Susanville).
New blog content starting in October - it will be a surprise everyday for the WOD. I will post the days workout at the end of the day with pictures and the whiteboard showing scores etc. I will be able to acknowledge new PR's etc. easier that way - and taking away the aspect of "cherry picking" your workouts. I know it is so easy to see burpees on the WOD, or running or what move you don't like and decide not to go - well no more. If you don't do the movements you don't like you wont get better (and we don't like them because they are hard, and not our best move) HAHA - allows you to listen to your body, and follow your workout plans rest days, be it 3 on 1 off or 5 and 2, or whatever. Allows me as a coach to ensure that you are coming in and working on the functional movements we need in our life.

We have a beautiful kettlebell workout today. Again Jason and I could not agree - he thinks 3 rounds is enough, I think it should be 5.....
So, we are leaving it up to you!
3 or 5 rounds (we have called this one Sam in the past - so she better be here and do it at 6 not 4:30)
5 windmills (to each side)
10 turkish get-ups (5 to each side)
15 v-twists
20 kettlebell swings
You want a weight that is challenging for all the movements - you may have 2 kettlebells what you can swing may not be what you can do a get-up with.

Tabata Something Else:
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
Post total reps from all 32 intervals.

Those of you who still have a few weeks of SST to make up due to schedule conflicts - you can make it up on those days as well.

Dodgeball!!!
Double elimination tournament. All teams must consist of at least six to ten players. Everyone who participates will receive a tee-shirt and a wristband that will get them other freebies.

Time: 9:00 am until finish
Location: Silver State Pavilion
Teams: 6 to 10 players
Rules: The Tournament will follow NADA official rules and all participants will need to complete a waiver form.
Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place along with an award for the best uniform! So be creative!

Had a tough time figuring out which WOD I wanted to do today - had the month scheduled but make adjustments here and there and we have.....

70's Day!!!!
We will be doing some disco dance moves. Maybe with kettlebells, maybe without. Eithe way we will be rocking it 70's style in BBCF!
So after the day was over we did an ass kicking WOD -

Today we are going to work on some strength lifts that compliment one another.
Snatch

Snatch grip deadlifts

Start with a few nice easy warm up reps, then start loading your bar up, progressing in weight up until your fifth set which should be very close to failure if not at failure.
We last did Snatch strength on 7-23-09 where we did 7 single reps - snatch grip deads we have not done as a strength building movement, but have had it in a few WOD'S.
