TEAM DAY!!!

FULL MISSION PROFILE - "Chimera"

Workout is compliments of Brassring Fitness - Rob Ord

These workouts are based on a fictitious military mission.

Situation:

An American Civil Engineer was captured 8 weeks ago by a militant Islamic group while traveling with his Afghani business partner in Kabul. Both men were initially taken hostage; however the partner was released after a ransom was paid. There has been no mention of the kidnapping to the media in order to keep publicity from endangering the Americans life and making him more difficult to find.

The kidnappers have consistently moved from location to location, making a rescue operation impossible. Recently, however, reliable intelligence data has come in that places the kidnappers and their hostage in a training camp near Kabul for an extended duration.

The camp is located at about 8000' in a mountain region in Easter Wardak Provience. It is heavily fortified and approachable only from a lower elevation. There are expected to be a large number of enemy forces there, which is presumed to be he reason they are not planning on moving their hostage.

Objective:

Deploy two separate fire teams to:

1. Safely rescue hostage
2. Capture any enemy combatants
3. Destroy camp with incendiary grenades and high explosives.

You have an option to pick 1 of 2 workouts.

Great job Alpha and Bravo this was an excellent WOD! Mel and Alena that mile run was outstanding I enjoyed the suck with both of you! That extra weight on the mile(or mile and a half for Alena) was brutal, but we pushed past it and even added some extra omph to it with our burpees. This was really good for team unity it was great cheering everyone on and helping out when needed. Can't wait for the next FMP!

DL's w/ 225#
Thrusters w/ 95#
C&J w/ 95# (couldn't muster the strength to go 135# at the time, but probably should have pushed through.)

Might see if I can gather the courage to attempt the Alpha wod this afternoon.

Good job to both Alpha & Bravo. From the looks of that mile run w/ weight, it appears that Alpha got the short end of the stick. Nice work sticking with it to the end.

One of the best WODs in the company of good friends!
Nothing more you can ask for.
This is what life is worth living for!

This was a great challenge and hats off to both teams who really worked hard to accomplish their "full mission profile".

The hard work that we did this morning boiled down to one premise and that is "to prepare and protect oureselves for the unknown and the unknowable".

Looking back, I still could not believe that there are some people who can run half naked and do rain puddle burpees in a parking lot on a cold winter day...
